Wow, what a guy

Good for him. Glad to hear that it's not the $8 million originally reported. That, I think, would have set a bad trend in college sports.

You knew that $8M per year stuff was a bit off. Couldn't make him the highest paid until he has proven to be the best in cfb. I think he'll be highest paid in B1G within 2 years though.

Damn, I like him even more now. He will run the Big 10 within 3 years

Jim Harbaugh told Hackett he did NOT want to be the highest paid coach in CFB, or even the Big Ten. More concerned with pay for assistants.
Will be winning at Michigan soon.

bravo for him. he truly knows what it takes to win.

I agree because if you start him at 8 and say he does win a NC do you increase his pay even more? Lol

so, Chavis to Michigan?

NFL guys were hilariously wrong on this

I was thinking the other thing this does is take the pressure off of him to win a NC right away.
8 million = Saban level pressure without the talent Alabama has.
The $5 million per year allows him a few years to build the program to elite status again.
I'm sure he'll be in the $7 million per year range soon enough.

Is he going to run a Pro-Style Offense? Or more zone read concepts?

You've gotta be able to pay the assitants

Kudos to Trey and Hail. Y'all had good info on the search.
