Anybody know why Derek Dooley was in BR yesterday? I would hope Special Teams coaching position. However, he is currently WR coach of Cowboys. Idk you'd give that up to be a college special teams coach. Also, hope it's not for OC or WR at LSU coaching position. Craig might not be the best WR coach of all time, but he is our recruiting coordinator and a great one at that!

Maybe he prefers the college game. He's a receivers coach in dallas. It's not like he's a coordinator or head coach

Let's hire Butch Jones for OC once they let him go. It will be an all Tennesse fired coaches team

Dooley did solid work here under Saban. He was a good recruiter and the special teams was great in the return games from 2001 on. This would be a good hire.

The only issue is that having a dedicated ST coach means we still need someone to help Aranda out with LBs when he needs to focus on DC duties. This is a reason I have been in favor of Joe Lorig. Having a TE (assuming Ensminger stays) coach and a dedicated ST coach kind of squeezes the on-field coaching numbers.

I'll allow it under the condition that he can't wear gold pants on the sideline.

Could he be considered for RB coach/ST coach? I think he coached RB while at LSU last time.

Any coach would look pretty good coaching D Guice next year. Maybe trying to spring board that back into a good job in the college game?

This was an interview for OC whether we like it or not. Kiffin is a candidate for Oregon, and he's very interested in that job, so O has started looking into other options.
