Lets make some assumptions and predict how the dominoes fall.

quote:

College:
Southern Cal (Sarkisian fired)
South Carolina (Spurrier retired)
Miami (Golden fired)
Virginia Tech (Beamer retiring)
Maryland (Edsall fired)
Minnesota (Kill retired)
Illinois (Beckman fired)
UCF (O'Leary resigned)
Hawaii (Chow fired)
North Texas (McCarney fired)

Outside of USC, VA Tech, and South Carolina there's not too many quality jobs open at the moment.

Minnesota has some potential but it is limited, they've done really well recruiting the south however.

Miami isn't what it was. Charlie Strong or Holgerson could be decent fits there.

Maryland and Illinois consistently underperform as schools with better tradition scoop up top recruits from their homebases.

UCF, Hawaii, and N. Texas are trash.

I'll start the craziness

1. South Carolina hires Skip Holtz.

2. USC takes a long time to finalize their hire as Pat Haden's job is likely at risk, and they very likely will go after an NFL guy.

3. Charlie Strong takes the Miami job. Texas opens up along with Pandora's Box.

4. Georgia keeps Richt and Kirby Smart stays coupled to Saban's tit.

5. ????

Spurrier didn't retire..... he resigned. There's a difference and although he was a great head coach, the fact shouldn't be overlooked that he quit. Don't care how he or the media want to church it up.... his arse quit.

Grats on beating up on our worst team ever

We owned your asses during our "rivalry," and two of your best teams in '10 and '11 got their shite pushed in. Stay mad.

Why does everyone think Strong wants the Miami job? Are they assuming he gets canned from Texas or that he knows he's going to get canned so he bails?

And God please hire Skip Holtz USCe

Good Call on Del Rio.

I've been hearing Mike Leach to Miami isn't out of the ballpark.
