Cracking the new OC hire code

Coach O said no hire will be made until after the bowl game. There is only one reason he would do this. Legally he cannot talk negotiations with NFL coaches until after the season. The season for most teams end Jan 1. O is going after an NFL coach. The question is if this coach is a position coach or OC.

So UH, USF, and FAU aren't interested in hiring him as HC, and it looks like he's done at Bama. Besides the NFL as an OC (which we aren't even sure of his prospects) what else is he going to do.
I mean, if I apply for CEO positions at all the large companies while having a standing offer as my same title, what else am I going to do when they all turn me down? Everyone is better in their own heads than they really are.
