Wouldn't surprise me if he is. Not my first choice, but part of me wants him. He is Louisiana.

He is.

In the interim.

He will not be the HC long term. Period. People need to let it go.

Would be a huge fricking disaster. We tried the "CEO" coach. It doesn't fricking work.

He sucked at Ole Miss and he isn't a bright offensive or defensive mind.

Best case scenario is he becomes our Ron Zook before we make a good hire. Zook left Urban a lot of talent and O would probably do the same for the next coach.

This is his dream job, it's like if you or I got a shot as LSU HC.

I can tell you for damn sure i would approach it like I'm going to be the coach for the next 20 years.

He has to to get the players to respond. Like he did at USC and by the end of the season I think the players wanted him to stay.

He's got an 8 game audition to try to convince LSU he should be the HC. Of course he is going to give it everything he has. He brings in his longtime friend, Pete Jenkins, to help out with the DL and hires Pomnansky to basically be his PR guy.

The last 8 games are as much about O trying to show he's the man for the job as they are LSU trying to have a good season.

He'll pull out all stops and put the pedal down.

I anticipate this team going full speed every drive.

I'm not sure how successful it will be. There will be some losses. How will he handle them? How will the team? LSU would be 4-0 right now with even average coaching - without question. We are just a couple of plays from being 4-0 right now.

So, what kind of team is this? We don't know. Will be interesting.

I hope coach O has an 8 game job interview. If money is an issue. He is the best cheapest solution... I would not make up my mind on who I think the next coach should be until the season is over

If he runs the table you're going to have to accept that fact that it will become a huge possibility. If O can unleash the Tigers and right everything we bitch about you wouldn't be interested ?

I am sure it's been mentioned before but his last HC gig did not go very well at Ole Miss. This was after his interim HC position at USC.

If he runs the table then that means he has matured and grown leaps and bounds since his ole miss days. LSU would pretty much have to keep him because running the table could very well mean winning the SEC.

He was HC at Ole Miss 2005-2007 before he was the interim HC at USCw in 2013.
