Idk about dream job but it's the perfect one for him. He'd be crazy to leave.

You better believe he moved to number 1 on our board today.

Herman lost...he's garbage.

Jimbo lost last week and is struggling this week against a higher rated team. Time to move on.

Who is the next coach up that hasn't recently lost...Peterson. So that's who we want.

Im not sold on Herman. He has only been a hc for 2 years at a mid major. He might be great, but can we take a chance and f up this hire. I think this is the most important hire for the future of LSU football.

There are two, maybe three, sure things and everyone else is a risk. Going with someone "proven" could just mean you're getting someone who has proven they aren't elite.

Hiring Herman is the best chance at becoming a powerhouse program again.

He stayed at Boise St for a LONG time. He had multiple opportunities to leave. He never did until Washington called. That should tell you enough.

LSU has a better chance at getting Saban or Harbaugh. Petersen is the definition of a pipe dream.

I'm listening to the UW post-game show and one of the hosts said he has been told by many people that when the UW job came open, Petersen had his lawyer call UW to start the conversation. He WANTED the UW job. He's not leaving unless some school's crazy alumni offers unbelievable $$$$$.

BTW, LSU (and Catholic High) alum Scott Woodward (now the AD at TAMU) hired Petersen. He came to UW as Emmert's right-hand man and became AD at UW after Emmert left for the NCAA.

I agree 100%. That coach ain't leaving, ever, unless he is fired. People have no clue when they suggest he should be on LSU's job list, and I am a big, big fan of LSU all my life.

Who the hell out there is more qualified that LSU has a shot at getting? I can't think of anyone. Herman is precisely the type of coach we want.

If LSU gets Herman and he's a bust I could live with that. They would have put their best foot forward.

feels like UW is about to go on a massive run of Pac 12 titles with Petersen at the helm.

it's the perfect storm with Oregon/USC/Stanford way down. Not penalizing them for it though, they look like his Boise St teams, but more athletic and better on the lines.

the state of Washington has produced some big time players recently that have gone elsewhere to play ball...max browne, jacob eason, etc. if Petersen can get that kind of talent to stay home as well as funnel that california talent there, then he will be dominant for a while.

Not convinced he's great without Ward.

Peterson team at Washington looks like his Boise team just with better athletes.

Petersen is highly unlikely if not unattainable. He turned down Texas when he was at Boise state. He wants to be in that region. We should ask about him but basically no way he will come. I honestly think he would turn us down with a 5 year 50 million dollar deal.

He's turned down Florida, Texas, Oregon, Stanford and many others. He's not leaving UW unless he's fired or gets the NFL itch.
