Chip Kelly will be the next John Calipari

Caliperi wasn't all that good in the NBA, and was a success at UMASS. Its obvious what he has done at a premier program of Kentucky.
Kelly was a success at Oregon, not very good in the NFL, and will be dominant at a premier program of LSU.
I feel that Chip Kelly had less to work with but kept his program high in the rankings and competing with less. LSU obvious had success in 2011 and 2007. Kelly imo would kill it in the SEC, would be able to recruit who he needed and wanted. The excitement kelly would bring to LSU, and the use of speed would be fun to watch.
Imagine what Kelly would have done with Russel Shepard. Miles wasted the kid. Although he has put many recruits in the NFL, many weren't utilized to their full potential.
Oregon's recruiting stats while Kelly was there per Rivals:
2007 Oregon #11 final ranking with zero 5 stars LSU #4 with 2 five stars.
2008 Oregon #19 with zero five stars LSU #11 with 2 five stars.
2009 Oregon #32 with zero five stars LSU #2 with 4 five stars.
2010 Oregon #13 with 1 five star LSU #6 with 1 five star.
2011 Oregon #9 with 2 five stars LSU #6 with 3 five stars.
2012 Oregon #16 zero five stars and LSU #18 with zero five stars.--not sure what happened with this recruiting class, I was working in Afghanistan and didn't have much time for anything.

id argue that he has done well in the nfl. he was 10-6 his first two seasons, and this season will likely be 8-8.

10-6 is 62 percent roughly. Good gets you fired or forced to resign doesn't it? It's a relative statement. 10-6 is good for the Browns, good for a a team with low expectations.
Mark Sanchez took the Jets to the AFC championship 2 years straight if my memory serves me correctly, would you consider him a good NFL qb?

Again Good doesn't get you fired unless you are Jimmy Johnson. haha

The Pac 10/12 isn't the SEC. He comes in here and recruits 250 lb lineman to run that whack arse offense and he will never beat Bama, UF, Arkansas. Just like LSU did to him at Oregon is what teams would do to us.

He's seen, up close, world class athletes in the NFL. He would be great in the SEC.

What? Mark Sanchez is a quarterback, Chip Kelly is a head coach. Chip Kelly touched everything concerning the Eagles team. Mark Sanchez played quarterback, nothing more.
Terrible analogy. Try again.
Expectations don't make your team better.

It was all he could get at Oregon. Look at his teams, not many 4 stars on those rosters. Mostly 3's... your not going to beat Bama,LSU and Auburn with that.. but you can thump Tennessee.

Oregon's budget is bigger than Bama's much less LSU.

Nothing to do with $$, who wants to go to Oregon? Especially a kid from the south, they want their families to come see them play ect.
Ok you got an offer from Saban, and you have an offer from Oregon. Hmmm let me think

most nfl teams would be very happy with 10-6. thats a playoff appearance most years.

IF true, what does this have to do with anything?

Kelly doesn't see LSU as a step up from Oregon. Now SC has more flash.
