Per my sources , good friend says LSU wants him #1.....don't care if you don't believe . It's Kelly, Fisher and Herman and Fedora. Question is will Chip want to leave now and give up on NFL. However wouldnt be shocked to see Fedora if all falls through.

I like the idea of Kelly but doesn't seem like a great fit regarding recruiting and pr.

1-5 record with NFL players not an issue? Herman can't beat SMU. Jimbo has repeatedly said no. Looks like we get Charlie Strong.

Kelly would be a horrific fit at LSU. He doesn't kiss arse with boosters, and he doesn't give a frick about defense. That does not fly in the SEC.

Uhh... LSU is nothing compared to some other major schools (ahem Bama) in regards to boosters expecting the HC to make 50k appearances and golf tourneys.

That is actually one of the positives over the UT job LSU has going for it.

Bud I think that you and I can agree that UT is on a whole different level as far as having the head coach having to fondle the balls of the big cigars.

But to say that LSU, or most other programs in the SEC don't have their share of donors that need their hands held or be kissed in the ear on occasion...well that would be disingenuous to say the least.

Lsu would let him do what he wanted as long as he wins.
