Not true at all, he produced a mediocre offense and Bielema chose not to bring him to Arkansas.

this is not even remotely close to what was reported, and he obviously has done very well since then, which further disproves this theory.

I watched EVERY play of the Pitt vs Clemson, and it was run AT LEAST 10 times.

I agree, I watched the game as well. However it was run so many times because Clemson NEVER adjusted and it kept working. So as a play caller, until they adjust keep running the damn play!
Cant bash him in that game, it was very effective.

so you're basing it off one game? Also you keep running it until a team stops it. They won the Clemson game so stfu.

That is fine. I watched a number of games. They struggled in the conventional passing game. Just telling you what I saw. You're looking for a guy to develop QBs. This seems like it would be a reach. Not saying that you are, but I dont get people defending a guy who is not even here.

I look at what he does, and its hard to imagine it panning out in the SEC. Minus the multiple shifts and motion, most of the offense is very similar to the current offense.

Lemme get this straight. Your complaining about a pass play that constantly works?

Neither is shooting for the moon when you realize you can't even take flight.

The point is to hamper expectations.

Anyone who thinks we can just hire a great OC and immediately with championships is fricking delusional.

That play on the video didn't good anyone. They missed the tackle and got ran over.

Why hasn't Bielema tried to hire him at Arkansas? He had a lot of success with him at Wisconsin?

Enos has been damn good there

In the SEC, the defensive line is so stout and aggressive, that shuttle/shuffle passes can be difficult to execute.

Pittsburgh's top opponents this year, their national scoring defense ranking, and how many points Canada's offense put on them in parenthesis:

Penn St. – 35th (42 points)

Okie St. – 65th (38 points)

UNC – 46th (36 points)

Georgia Tech – 47th (37 points)

Va Tech – 29th (37 points)

Miami – 13th (28 points)

Clemson – 12th (43 points)

Duke – 67th (56 points)

Hmmm...a shovel pass from inside the 5 yard line for a TD. Runs it 10+ times a game?

Hell, if he was here for FLA game, and scored on only 1 of the 5 times we were within 5 yards of the endzone, we are playing in the Sugar Bowl.

Why bitch?

Was it working?

What was the result of that game? Because Clemson had a pretty elite defense this year and they scored 43 fricking points on it.

Clemson has a very SEC-ish defense. And Pittsburgh offense dominated them.

The SEC defense thing is so fricking overblown these days.

Urban Meyer ran something similar with Hernandez at UF. On that play you can also give it to the guy in motion or fake the shovel and keep or pitch it to the option RB.

I dont dislike the play. It skews passing efficiency. My problem is that I dont see much happening in the passing game.

No Clemson does not. And no it is not. If you want to beat the teams you're beating already, cool. If you want to beat Bama, its going to take more than this stuff IMO.

IIRC, didn't they get in range for the GW FG by throwing a 20-something yd seam route to the TE? You're making it seem like the only pass play that worked for them was the shovel.

I watched the entire game. That play was set up by a 70 yd interception return (I think). Plays like that were far an in between, much like our current passing attack.
