Can someone make an argument that CEO is a better candidate than Bo Pelini?

I'd take Skip Holtz from LA Tech before Orgeron.

So yeah, Pelini would be better too.

They are on the same level as HCs. Both are good at their niches.

Ehhhhh

Might be all square on that one.

Pelini has been FAR more successful than Orgeron as a head coach though.

No, Orgeron was an historic disaster. Pelini is a psychopath that won games but couldn't keep his cool so they went a different direction.

Orgeron dips coffee grinds and takes off his shirt to tackling drills with linemen in practice

Would be a fun cage match

One of 'em is 2-3 tough losses away from an aneurysm. Just think Pelini is better suited as a coordinator in this league.

Pelini was a terrible recruiter. His defenses were heavy soft zone. Pelini was a mediocre defensive coordinator here. I remember DBs playing ten yards off the ball in the AZ State game. He finally switched to man, but over time, he went back to soft zone.

Both are not very good at the least regardless of records. Pellini a shade better. Neither I don't want anywhere near the full time HC position at LSU.

CSB: After the 2007 BCS title game I sat at adjoining tables as Bo Pelini at Pat O's on Bourbon until about 3 AM.

He was TURNT. Bought everyone shots like 10 times. If you remember that was his last LSU game, as he had already accepted the Nebraska gig.

ETA:

At one point, him and his brother were standing on a table screaming "Sweet Caroline".

I've heard legends of this. Didn't know you were there. I was probably in an alleyway puking my guts out at that point
