While I don't think Kiffin is coming to LSU as OC, the OC job at LSU is a hell of a lot better job than HC at San Jose State.

Not for a dude who wants a HC job out west. He could go to a Power 5 job, but unless one of the Cal teams fires a coach, I think he takes a good look at this one.

Yeah, but he's currently making 1.4 million, so it may have to be more than just 1.5-2 to offer.

Unless you work a miracle like MacIntyre did and get out as quickly as you can, SJSU is a coaching graveyard. Better to wait another year for something better if that is the only option.

A very good OC who is in a job and making less than a million is going to call LSU. This is how we are going to get a top notch OC

I'm very against the Orgeron hire. Having said that, I don't think Kiffin not coming is a huge issue. Orgeron needs to make a good hire. And, a guy who is less known, less head coach ready, and who had less of an ego would probably be better for the long term...assuming he was a quality coordinator.

Why would he go there when presumably he could get a HC job at lower tier p5 program easily? SJSU would be a huge risk.
Not saying he should go to LSU at all. I don't want him. But going from Tennessee to USC to SJSU just screams career ender to me.
