These negotiations that are so openly public rarely, if ever, go as advertised. I remain optimistic that this will be the exception to the rule.

True. Although it seems like lsu hires/leads are leaked more than others.
Not sure if it's because i am looking at lsu more or actually a legit observation by the media.

I'll believe when it's announced. All of these reporters try to run with anything, and hope that it sticks. They have no credibility anymore.

Part of it is we're paying closer attention to it b/c it's LSU.
Part of it is that in the coaching carousel we were one of 3 high profile vacancies.

UT got plenty of press/criticism/SJW over the way they treated C. Strong. Then once they canned him they got Herman quick.
ESPN = TMZ of sports now.
We had the Miles fiasco at the end of last year then canned him early.
TMZ stayed on top of it b/c it is more interesting than Oregon, UH, USF, Baylor or Purdue.
