I heard yesterday he is looking at Willie Martinez also. If he hires him that will be horrible.

Heard today that they were looking at Tom Allen at USF. I think Allen is a rising star but he has only been a DC for one year. He drastically improved USF's defense though. Before USF, he was Hugh Freeze's LB coach and had been with Hugh for about 7-8 years. Dynamic recruiter, high energy and is a very positive coach, unlike Muschamp. USF went from 71st to 37th in ypg allowed under Allen's leadership.

I think so because I know how good of a coach he is, but I think it would be perceived as desperate since he only has 1 year of DC experience.
He also took the landshark signal to USF. If he takes that to Auburn, there will be many rustled Rebs.

It is my understanding that he has two years experience as DC. One at Arky State and one at USF.

Dave Wommack was Hugh's DC in his one year at ASU. Tom was Hugh's DC at Lambuth for 2 years however.

Lance will be the interim for the bowl game. If Gus is having a hard time getting someone to come to AU then Lance may get a promotion.
