At Duke, Alleva Fired A HC, Made DC interim HC, Then Permanent HC

That DC promoted to HC was Ted Roof.

Roof was subsequently an abject failure as a HC at Duke

Two ways to look at this:

One, if Orgeron does well and LSU misses on their top preferred choices then Orgeron could be made HC.

Two, Alleva looks back on the failure of Roof and thus tends to disfavor making another similar promotion.

I think there will be more choices for LSU then Duke, obviously, so I think Orgeron has a long shot here unless he does really well as interim and lsu whiffs on certain candidates.
