Took over in 2008 for Baylor

Offensive Rankings
2008 (4-8): 46th 376 ypg
2009 (4-8): 85th 342 ypg
2010 (7-6): 13th 475 ypg (Beat Texas)
2011 (10-3): 2nd 587 ypg (Beat TCU, Miss, Ok, TT, TX, and Washington in bowl)
2012 (8-5): 2nd 572 ypg (Beat Kan ST, TT, and UCLA in bowl)
2013 (11-2): 1st 618 ypg (Beat WV, Kan St, OK, TT, TCU, TX, and UCF in bowl)
2014 (11-2): 1st 581 ypg (Beat TX, TCU, OK, OK St, TT, Kan St, Lost Mich St in Bowl by 1. Put up 42 points on 8th ranked defense in country)
2015 (10-3): 1st 616 ypg (Beat TT, WV, Kan St, Ok St, and beat NC in bowl)

They are 6-5 this year without Briles with 5 losses in a row and WV this weekend.

Defensive Rankings
2008: 86th 393 ypg
2009: 94th 405 ypg
2010: 104th 435 ypg
2011: 116th 488 ypg
2012: 123rd 502 ypg
2013: 27th 360 ypg
2014: 51st 381 ypg
2015: 61st 396 ypg

If we look at the last 3 seasons of Baylor vs last 3 seasons of LSU, you get the following.

Baylor: 32-7
LSU: 27-11

In 2013, we both played TCU. Lsu won 37-27 and Baylor lost 41-38. In 2013, we had Mett, Hill, Landry, and Beckham. It was our best offensive season since before 2008. We were ranked 35th in YPG that season vs 80+ ever season before and after that.

In conclusion, yes I know the Big 12 isnt as competitive as the SEC especially the SEC west, but to see what he started with and where he took it is impressive. The competition isnt as tough, but the recruits are not as good either and there is no shortage of schools competing against you in Texas. His defense was never overly great but neither was Les Miles offense. If we have Aranda and Art Briles calling the shots, I dont see how we are not a playoff contender as early as next season. Just my thoughts.

I do have a daughter, what I dont have is belief in mainstream media nor do I know the entire story of what really went on. I dont think anyone on this board does either. Going off what I know, he would be a great OC.

Art Briles is married and has a daughter. And both have openly supported him since the Baylor crap.

If they can handle it, I think you can too bud.

Yes because a school fires their best coach ever because the media said so.

Dude is reprehensible. Should not be allowed anywhere near LSU's campus.

Did you expect them to disown him and start living on their own?

There is no chance Briles is considered. None.

About the same as LSU's offensive rankings. Difference is that Baylor was winning more games.

Do you really think a school like Baylor would have fired him if he did nothing wrong? Use your damn brain. The guy is scum.

Obviously you have your beliefs and your reasoning and I have no issues with that nor am I here to argue with you.

If this coach was so guilty, why did the school pay him 20 million out of court when they canned him?

Why, because they probably know they had no case against him if it actually went to court

I'm sorry but if you defend Briles you lack morals. What kind of message would LSU be sending if they hired Briles? I'm a gymnastics fan. Why would I want my daughter becoming a gymnast at LSU knowing that one of their coaches defended rapists and allowed them to continue committing rape.

Your logic is flawed. Your morals are flawed.

Right, right. So why fire him in the first place?

Look at his record against teams that finished the season in top 25. Hint: it's terrible

And having a heisman QB makes running up the score on the SW Texas States of the world kinda easy.

He shouldn't have settled then. He should have fought to be exonerated.

SJW's at Missouri somehow mounted enough pressure to get the Pres. to step down by going on hunger strike because of imaginary racism. Special snowflakes at Harvard got two heads of college to step down over their stance on Halloween Costumes. Twats at Yale got the male soccer team's season canceled because it got out that the men were rating their fellow female soccer players on attractiveness on a 10 scale.

I've heard of enough bullshite going on at college now-a-days to know that the current standards are bogus.

Art Briles may very well have "protected a rapist" or he could be a scapegoat solution to outrageous SJW standards.

Many of you could very well be over reacting.
