canada has to have some of the most creative running plays that you will see run in the power 5

I read it as " Lot more shotgun than we'd like to see." My bad, apparently my reading skills weren't up to par. Yes, I want to see more shotgun

It seems you have your mind made up that you don't like the hire, but I'll try...

Dude has done an excellent job developing his scheme to his personnel. He turned Jacoby Brissett (who was a bust) into an NFL quarterback. He turned the kid at Northern Illinois into a Heisman runner up. He's coached up some of the best D1 running backs of the last 5 years including a Doak Walker.

He turned fricking Pitt into a 42 point per game team.

Oh well, I guess the sky is falling, we'll never beat Bama again, and in a few years they'll dissolve the program for lack of success. Ho hum

Guys, do some research. He set school records at Indiana passing the ball. He plays to personnel. What Pitt does is what suits them. But they are balanced. They have thrown for as any yards as they have ran. Quit freaking out and just learn how to use some critical thinking and problem solving.

He's already better then what we had in respect to using the field size.

He looks like he never heads to the short side kd the field wtih anything. Always using the space and opening lanes up with personnel.

No more short side option it looks like.

Came here to post that. The 2014 NC State game against Florida State is a good example of what Canada did with a mostly spread offense against elite talent. He gets praised for his fast tempo as well.

If you want to see more, watch more of the game. The offense did exceptionally well against elite talent. Here's the game in it's entirety:

I don't know why, but I literally lol'd at that wildcat formation at 1:57. Back takes the snap and then entire line converges to the middle and he tries to bounce and is like "oh shite". Then the next play is same formation and he does bounce it and goes for a TD
