He just locked up two 4 star DTs for the 2014 class by signing the head coaching contract.

This is why I'm excited about him. I aint worried about offense, we have always scored points. Hell even under Nutt we scored points.

It's all about defense if we want to take that next step. Couldn't care less if we average 10 points a game to be honest, long as our opponents average 9.

Yeah. I probably wouldn't give commentary on a coach if I couldn't figure out which Stoops brother he was.

Mark Stoops was at Arizona for 6 seasons with his brother.

That wisky offense dropped 70 on pelini last week. I think our offense will be fine.

A 1 ppg differential would lead to around a 6-6 record likely.

rocket you typed your rankings backwards. its

ut
uk
aub
ark

im willing to wager a ban bet that Jones last longer at UT then CBB does ARKY. excluding any off the field incidents.

ill take that under any parameter.

we have no statistical data that suggests Jones is greater than BB in any way.

i dont even have a bias in this argument as im an ND fan, but i do have strong connections to cincy since i am from the area and Jones is a mediocre coach and his coaching record supports that mediocrity.

I just want to know how long. Perma bans are dumb because people just create an alter. I don't really care for ban bets really anyways, I really enjoy watching people get called out for their bullshite after they were clearly wrong.

who lasts longer at a school isn't a very good metric for determining who is the better coach. UT could keep Butch Jones for five years based solely on not wanting to pay yet another buyout, while bielema could have major success and parlay it into his "dream job" at iowa.

Yeah we know, but the defense wasn't the issue and they were horrible once he left. It had nothing to do with him being terrible at Arizona. He is a very respected DC and we took a chance on a guy that has a good ceiling. Auburn fired a guy "that only won with Cam" and hired a guy whose offense only did well "with Cam". UT hired a guy that UK decided wasn't our first choice. IMO, Arky should be the only hire considered better than UK. The other hires all have major questions. The OP is an idiot and even admitted this.

Auburn fans probably dont like this hire much either

I was "meh" on the hire to begin with. But I am absolutely loving every move he has made so far. We said we wanted to clean house, and he is doing exactly that. Telling Jackson and Bolt to kick rocks is something I didn't think I'd ever see. Gus has shown in just a couple short days that this is his program, and will be run the way he sees fit.

if CBB is fired before CBJ for on the field performance I win and who ever takes the bet leaves. If not I leave. or we can make it an avatar bet.

Bielema had a conniption with Meyer in the B1G, he will die in the SEC. Just not a fit

ok so now Arkansas finishes 3rd or 4th in the West with a defense. What an upgrade.

Butch Jones is a better hire.

did everyone forget how bad malzahn's offense was without cam and Dmac?

what? he killed it at Tulsa. his first year at AU, he improved their offense substantially from the year before, iirc.

he did really well every year except his last at AU, which was supposedly full of Chizik's meddling.

Absolutely hilarious that Gus spent his every waking moment as an assistant trying to undermine his HC but now that he is the HC he's going to make sure he has only yes men who won't stab him in the back.
