Don't get me wrong it would be a great OC hire. But, how long would he even stay here? 1 year then we are doing this again at the end of next year when his name comes up for a head coaching gig again, no thanks!

I think the some of the other guys are better OCs and will stay longer, so no you are not alone. If its Kiffin I won't be upset. I mean we could do a lot worse. I just would rather someone else.

I hate the fact that it's a one year lease on an OC (maybe 2 if LK still can't lure a buyer; I honestly thought someone would hire him this year) but he is the most proven candidate. You don't have a top 2 offense in the SEC 3 years running unless you know how to field a good offense.

You were likely in the majority yesterday when LSU fans thought he was done to UH. now that they think he's possible to LSU again, you are going to find yourself in the extreme minority until the news changes. Everyone wants to be able to say "this is the guy I wanted".

No. I'm just not sure how he'll do without Saban keeping him in line.

its not the right move, he's clearly desperate for a head job. There are some offensive minds available right now that provide you with more stability.

but since we make awful decisions.....bring on Lane

I prefer Helfrich 1 and Canada 2, Sark is a drunk risk, and Kiffin is talented but will be constantly looking for HC job and probably 1 and done.

I like kiffin a lot and to me he's the best option at OC but would also like somebody else cause I think he's a Ben Simmons

I don't want Kiffin because he's such a dbag, but he's a really good OC that should do well here. The problem with hiring Kiffin is if he does well he is gone in a year. If he doesn't do well we are stuck with him as long as O is here.

Kiffin sends a message of instability to the program. We really don't need that.

This board has sold me on Canada. I'd be happy with him. I be happy with Helfrich too.

I think he'd be great here but in a year we do this again. I liked the idea of Canada or Helfrich that would possibly be here a few years. But Im not against Kiffin being in charge of the O.

History has shown to do the opposite of what this board desires.

I mean, we're sitting around arguing about the top 5-7 OCs in the country. Everyone will have an opinion.

The good news is, I don't think there is a large probability that our staff will mess this hire up.

There are a lot of great OCs available.

Not all will be happy because we're being nit picky with all the time we have had to discuss this.
