This is what I have been saying from Coach O's stint at USC and now at LSU you can see where he has evolved and is trying to do what has made other coaches, he knows well, successful.

LINK /

I am sure the anti-O crowd will flame away so have at it. Not saying LSU should hire him today, just saying wait until the end of November and then take a look at what he has accomplished at LSU and at USC to see if he has changed from his days at Ole Piss, which is evident that he has.

You know who else said they've learned from their previous experience? Hillary Clinton. Do you believe a word she says?

To answer your question directly, NO because she hasn't proved it. Coach O is proving through LSU and at USC that he has changed.

Putting Orgeron who, if you ask his coaching brethren, has a very high moral character and is not known as a liar, on par with a known and proven liar in the same basket helps prove your point. There is no correlation between the two, it is a stupid comparison.

Interim coach and full time coach are 2 different things

There's another article on there talking about him teaching defensive formations this week in preparation for Kiffin. Guess we should warn them O doesn't know much about Xs and Os right? That's what the rant says. It must be true.

I have my favorite candidate and it isn't O but I'll tell these absolute anti O fans that they need to calm down and consider all possibilities.

I don't think many LSU fans are Anti-O. We just want the best available and is HE that guy?

LSU can't screw this up...too important

I am rooting for him to get the job because I know what it will take for him to earn it. If he hits those lofty expectations I am fine with him being HC.

It CAN be Coach O, but SHOULD it be? That's what the AD needs to ask himself. If it's O that means quite a few other people turned us down, imo.

They hired a drunk over him. SLIGHTLY different scenario

And if they fire Helton this year, do you think they are giving O a call? NOPE.

You are mistaken. That is the argument that the PRO-O people make.

I just find it amusing that the "hire o now crowd" seems to feel that if you're not on board then you somehow aren't being fair.

When you interview people you look at what they have done, potential success, and what they are currently doing. You know, an overall body of work. Then you take that coupled with some intangibles and/or character traits. Whoever comes out on top, hire them. If that happens to be O, so be it. I just don't see us missing on so many other coaches that it comes to that.

Now could Alleva cave and ignore others if O were to win out? Sure. I'm just saying if you go by the hiring process alone then you can't put O at the top of the list. I know the word process may trigger some of you, but it is the proper way to do it. Lol.

Allsssoooooo

Whenever USC was hiring his replacement, they were still having penalties from the NCAA so they weren't in a position to go after the top guys
