Why isn't Todd Monken being mentioned as a candidate for any HC job vacancies?

He has been a pretty successful OC with NFL experience. Seems like some school would be willing to take a shot on him

I believe he will be Tech's number one choice if Dykes leaves to NC St. (done deal imo). He interviewed last time and many thought he'd be the one hired. He was an asst. at Tech previously I believe.

The high profile jobs are probably not wanting to take a chance on someone without HC experience. IMO

He will replace Gundy when he leaves to captain the flagship.....

Seriously though TM has done a great job. A lot of people didn't give him a ton of credit because he walked into such a good situation with weeden and blackmon but he tools holgersons offense and made it better in my opinion. He also one of the best qb coaches in the country.

I think what he has done this year is pretty impressive. How many QBs have y'all went through this year? 3?

Yep we have been playing with our 3rd stringer for the past 3 games. What was really impressive to me about Monken was when our Lunt went down our backup is a dual threat guy and he changed the offense around a lot to more zone read stuff and we were still putting 50 on teams. Weeden pretty much said Monken turned him into a first round pick and what he's done with 2 freshman qbs this yr is amazing. Will hate to see him go.

I'm hoping he gets a decent gig soon. I could very well have a contact on his next staff.

Monken was under serious consideration for HC at LATECH the last 2 times it was open (Pre-Dooley and Pre-Dykes). It would not suprise me at all if he ends up in Ruston. However, he might not be too interested after not getting the job the last 2 times he interviewed for it, who knows.

He's from Illinois and a lot of people around Stillwater think he might be waiting for them to can Beckham. Monkens pressers are freaking gold to watch. Dude has some great one liners

I agree.

I've heard great things about the guy from a X's and Os perspective. And our WR core has never been the same since he left.

Pretty sure they did. I dont think he wanted the job though.
There may have been something about him not wanting to leave before the bowl game too.
