Saban is apparently looking for a new gig, & he is Arkansas right NOW.

It'd be interesting, but I bet he stays at Auburn and waits out a better gig.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had his eye on our job if Bert flames out, but he'd be better served getting a step-up gig and proving himself because we don't have a long-held policy of not hiring assistants.

Didn't Kingsbury turn down a few non-AQ jobs before Tuberville bolted for Cincy?

Lashlee at Arkansas? Old Main would burn.

Just curious.

Why would they need to interview Koetter? He's already been the head coach there once.

Would Arky want to hire a guy with no HC experience?

Rhett is really young (and still will be even in 5 years) for an SEC team to hire as a HC without experience.

all of the above, but throw in the fact that you could have the genius and the master but settle for the second rate apprentice...

And Gus would still be at Auburn or somewhere bigger and better by then.

Lashlee should jump on ASU if the opportunity happens though.

U. of A would spend the money to get an established HC.

Oh I agree, I was just stating that I wouldn't doubt if he's got his eye on his job whether it be in the short or long term.

But yeah, we're not hiring an assistant, and it's our policy dating back to Barnhill's days with the lone glaring exception being Jack Crowe.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was the one who requested the interview, considering he's on thin ice in ATL.

PFT made it sound different the other day. Who knows.

Don't get me wrong, I think he's a good OC on a team decimated by injuries (aren't all Georgia teams), but I could see him as the sacrificial lamb this offseason.

I hate A-state and their little brother complex, but I almost feel sorry for them in a way. If Harsin gets the Boise job, they'll be hiring their 5th head coach in 5 years.

That's literally two different senior classes who have had 4 different head coaches during their tenure. That's a damn shame, honestly.

2010: Steve Roberts
2011: Freeze
2012: Malzahn
2013: Harsin
2014: ??

And I thought my alma mater was unstable at HC the last few years....
