We hear Michigan is waiting until after the Orange Bowl to hire Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh. Lane Kiffin will celebrate Jan. 4.

This is silly

Heck I posted something along these lines 2 weeks ago.

"Harbaugh is Michigan's top candidate."...per a big wig OSU board of trustee

In other words, it's more than speculation...Michigan is persuing Harbaugh

I don't see this happening. I'm not discrediting it, just saying my gut feeling is saying he goes the NFL route (possible Carolina where he could get Luck as #1 pick). I doubt he goes to Michigan for a year and then leave when the NFL comes calling.

Huge mistake by UM not throwing the bank at Les imo.

They need a real Michigan man who doesn't listen to Josh Groban.

I agree, although I hope he does go to Michigan. I don't want LSU looking for a new coach.

Well now this is really stunning news. At least a hundred rantardoes have already said this and suddenly it's news?

Here are real possibilities:

RR is fired
Harbaugh is top choice of UM
Harbaugh is top choice of 49ers
Harbaugh makes decision to leave or stay at Stanford
If not UM, Les is 2nd UM choice
Les accepts
Jack Del Rio is new LSU coach

Jim Harbaugh will go to the NFL. That's my best guess. His brother is there. Some excellent job openings in the NFL--Dallas, Denver, Minnesota--to name just a few.

If Les were to leave this year lsu would be fricked. I wish the anti Les morons would take a look at Miami and fla and realize that we likely wouldn't get the flashy name that the droolers like to masturbate over. IE gruden etc

That may be true. I wonder why someone like Gary Patterson's name did not show up on Florida's radar?

And Miami hiring Golden could be a recruiting problem. Golden certainly has the experience, even if it is at Temple. But Sumlin at Houston would have been a much better pick in my book.

if we didnt get Gruden, Del Rio or whatever head coach in waiting LSU has then it's the AD's fault b/c he's stupid.

WM would quit UF after 2 weeks on the job to come here anyways so it's not like we don't have a backup plan.
