Long story short: You know nothing about TCU football

I know, based on your post, that TCU lost 19 of 22 starters off the 2010 team and still lost only two games in 2011 while still in the MWC.

Those 2011 players then switched to the Big12 and have already lost twice as many games with 2 games to go....

Listen, we've heard your shite before...

It don't matter who we hire, to you they are going to be 'over-rated'.

Frankly, your schtick is getting old and quite over-rated.

I don't follow TCU all that much, I just know they win a hell of a lot more than they lose, and the MWC wasn't as horrific as people make it out to be a few short years ago when Utah, BYU, and TCU were all doing fine and other teams like Air Force would linger around.

That being said, are they really doing THAT poorly this year considering how young they are? It helps to get a complete picture of what we are dealing with instead of cherrypicking statistics.

I think Gary Patterson is a great coach. He took over a complete trashfire at TCU and made them relevant.

If he goes to Auburn, he could be successful.

If he goes to Arkansas, he will occasionally win 8-10 games a year and never win the SEC. Because that's what every Arkansas coach has ever done in the SEC.

Been saying for awhile that GP is not the slam dunk some believe him to be.

No shite. Way to go out on a limb there. So, what you're telling me is no coaches are guaranteed victories or success?

Can't we say that about almost every coach?

Really? Patterson has really only been a coordinator under Franchione before being TCU's head coach.

Let's also look at his first five seasons as head coach and compare them to Kevin Sumlin's:

Patterson

Season 1: 6-6 (Conference USA)
Season 2: 10-2 (Conference USA)
Season 3: 11-2 (Conference USA)
Season 4: 5-6 (Conference USA)
Season 5: 11-1 (Mountain West)

Sumlin

Season 1: 8-5 (Conference USA)
Season 2: 10-4 (Conference USA)
Season 3: 5-7 (Conference USA)
Season 4: 12-1 (Conference USA)
Season 5: 11-2 (assuming he wins the bowl: SEC)

How did Les do in the Big12?

really????

you dumbfricks without a coach cannot stop tripping all over yourself with pot shots at coaches who just win, what sad puppies you must be

It's a legit question and the answer is he very well could be over-rated looking at the history of his time there

Umm, when Les was in the Big 12, there was a team called Nebraska that was a member, OU and Tejas were top 10 and the Aggies were still around. OSU was building the foundation for what they are now.
Not sure about Patterson being overrated, but I'm pretty sure LSU has no reason to be scared of Auburn as long as the little bastard is dominating that state.

They weren't doing shite. Besides, Nebraska was in a separate division. Even if they lost to OU and Texas every year should the great Les not been 10-2 every year except the ones they played Nebraska?

They played unranked Nebraska twice when he was there and went 1-1. He went 1-3 against OU and 0-4 against Texas. OSU also lost to perennial power houses Southern Miss, LA Tech, and Iowa State.

The thing about Patterson is that he knows how to handle players and has great coordinators....like Dick Bumpus on defense. Bump is world class (BTW he played at Arkansas) and what they did this year with all the suspensions is amazing. If they move to SEC, they will play for title in three years. They are that good.

If they leave TCU, some school will get a great coach and staff.

I just do not see Gary in Fayetteville...maybe Auburn or UTn. Have known both (Bumpus and Patterson) for 23 years. They are no unhappy at TCU.

And here is where you are wrong again

If 70% of TCU's starters this year are freshman, how can you say that all of this year's players are the 2011 players?

Only 3 starters on offense this year started on the 2011 team, and 3 starters on defense started on the 2011 team.

A lot of the 2011 starters were actually seniors who had to wait their turn behind all of the 2009 and 2010 seniors.

Roster was decimated in between 2011 and 2012 due to graduation, injuries and the drug ring.

I think that his team consited of about 70% fresmen/sophomores this year. Tons of injuries and lost players that were kicked off or quit.
I would rather have Petrino at Auburn but I believe that GP would do fine in the SEC.

Kick off half team for running a drug cartel.

Insert QB who can't throw the ball 20 yards.

Field a top 15 defense in the offense happy B12.

Hold an Oklahoma team averaging 41 to 7 and almost get a defensive score.

Win 9 games.

Yeah, he's way overrated.

TCU. You boys are on your way down already. I hope you enjoyed your two CBS bowls. With or without Patterson you guys are headed right back to your historical average of suck. Without Patterson, it will get bad really quick. I am not going to bother to research TCU's opponents winning percentage over the last decade, but we can all agree that Patterson and TCU's has built their success in playing glorified junior colleges most Saturdays.

And to the tool thinking someone is going to pry Sumlin away... You reall think he is going to leave a school after one year with a heisman winner back for at least 2 yrs and a huge stadium project coming. This ain't Iowa state here.
