Butch Davis?

. . . . . . . . he'll either be at Arkansas or LSU next year. Not someone I'd like coaching an SECW opponent.

I hope we don't screw the pooch on this one going for a 62y/o once great coach rather than looking for someone with a few more years ahead of them. AKA Del Rio or Davis. If SOS still has the "fire in his belly", OK. But I'd hope Skip et al would look very hard at hiring yesterday's news. The SOS offense ain't what it used to be.

Miles unless he gets fired. Nobody else wants him.

Comparing the South Caroling offense to the Florida offense is so ridiculous it's unworthy of comment.

Well Cuz . . .

FYI I was thinking more in comparative terms of DUKE 1987-89 vs USC 2005-08 and the defensive evolution vs 4-5 wideout offenses that occurred in the interim.

Speedy, for one time you and I agree. These guys are not going to come to LSU for various reasons.
a few years ago maybe, Spurrier or Tubbs, but now that is very unlikely.
Personally, I IF Les leaves, you can look for the names of Brian Kelly and Petrino, or Mushchamp to come up. Muschamp will be the most likely candidate if he is availble.
As far as Saban is concerned, the Sapranos said it best, "Forget about it!!!"

So I guess a Cal-St Fullerton fan would know better, right?
