LSU is absolutely a top notch job.
Miles failed in this search. Maybe he failed because most see him as a short-timer. Maybe he failed because he wrongly thought he was hiring a LB coach more than a coordinator. Maybe he just coudn't get the interest deserved because of his reputation.
Whatever the reason, Miles failed.
Steele may end up leading a great defense. I'm not discounting that possibility at all. But, the search itself, was a failure. No question in my mind.

How many coaches did Chavis bring with him to A&M? How many coached did Muschamp bring with him to Auburn? How may coaches did Cam Cameron bring with him when he got hired as the OC at LSU?
