...for sure.

Smith's final visit will be to Alabama on Jan. 18. Head coach Nick Saban has already visited him at home. "He talked with me about how amazing the atmosphere at Alabama is and how great the tradition is," he said. "He plans to bring them back to the top and he seems like a cool guy. I like how he's bringing in top recruits and isn't afraid to play young guys."

Eric Smith from Florida. Saban will be at Alabama for a long time and everyone knows it. 3 years and we will be back atop the SEC.

I just started another thread and saw this. The Sabans swore they would not leave Baton Rouge up until that infamous Christmas. His wife planted trees at their home because they were going to be there for a LONG time. They bolted soon after!

Come on Scoop, put the Bama goggles down. Are you really going to believe anything Saban says??? "I am not going to be the coach of Alabama?" Seriously! Now I don't think he is going anywhere but the man has proven he will do or say anything to get what he wants and has no care about lying. I am definitely not going to believe what a recruit said that Saban told him!

Saban would never lie to a recruit... especially back when he thought he was stuck there.

You are right. Saban doesn't llok happy. Have to think he will retire or leave Bama within the 2 years. No need to be miserable at his age and his wealth.

But, Alabama is like the sanctuary of college football. It owuld be like lying in church to lie to Alabama. Saban is now wearing one of those bracelets that has ,(WWBD), on it. So I think he is a changed man.

Why do all the LSU fans say he doesn't look happy? I have relatives and friends that see Coach a few times a week at church and on the lake and he never seems to look unhappy.

His boat his purple and gold btw.

hey Scoop, I like your analogy with the church stuff, sanctuary and WWJD bracelet altered to fit the bear, but Saban being involved the analogy would be more accurate like this:

But, Alabama is like the urinal of college football. Saban is now wearing on of those child molestor bracelets that has (WWBAD) on it.

I think all of these coaches are liars. I don;t believe a word any of them say. If Miles stayed at LSU it is only because Michigna didn;t offer him the job. I bet it is killing him to see RR at the podium in Ann Arbour. What do you think?

P.S. Sabans boat really is purple and Maize, I meen gold sorry about that freudian slip.

Yes I am sure Miles is in a deep state of depression while he is preparing for the National Championship game.

I agree, I think Les wanted to go home, but circumstances got in the way. But, not a bad fallback position - LSU SEC champions and a berth in the MNC game, with a guaranteed huge raise in $.

Great analysis there chief. It couldn't have anything to do with the fact that the most we see of him is pressers and games where we are fricking up all the time?
