I'm going 9. At this point, they should just beg Mack to stay and take another run at Saban next year. I can't believe they ran Mack out and didn't, at least, have Mora or Peterson lined up. Just pathetic. Their fans must be so embarrassed.

waaaaaaaay too early to make a call. If they make a great hire, then who gives a frick as everyone will forget about all the drama. If they end up with a 3rd tier choice then I won't stop laughing for years. But right now I can't tell ya

They fricked it up so bad that they had to pretend mack wasnt actually being fired, and then fire him, so the fan base was happy that at least that ended up happening

10. It's horrible as it is, and I see it going to 'catastrophic' on a level that makes Jetgate look pleasant.

The power struggles are becoming public record now.

And they're going to have to pay out the arse for even those crumbs.

Maybe the lesbian coach's lawsuit will go to trial too.

It's up there 9 or 10, Texas arrogance is what has caused it. The idea that we are Texas and we will get who we want. Why noone would dare turn us down. This is the best job in college football. Hell, we got more money than the Vatican. Dammit.

Why didn't they just force Mack's hand immediately following the Baylor game? That's the part I don't get. Just pull him off the bus ala Hayden and give him an ultimatum: resign tomorrow gracefully or be fired.

Mack Brown is gone, so it could have been worse.

That the date you predict they will name a new coach? If so, who do you guess it will be?

The first responder is right -- we'll need to see how it ends. But it looks like an "8" is charitable.
