Fayetteville > Stillwater, especially for raising families.

Maybe since Gundy's kids are all age 9 and up they're thinking about better education options for the kiddo's. Fayetteville provides that.

Pinnacle and Blessings > Karsten Creek
Razorback Foundation donor planes > than OSU's WW2 era donor planes
Dickson St. > the Strip (though the apartments off the strip are far more affordable than the condo's off Dickson now)
AQ Chicken House, Grub's, Sassy's > Eskimo Joe's
Mermaids, Catfish Hole > Red Lobster
XNA > Stillwater Regional
Razorback Stadium > TBoone's party pit
hills > flat as frick
trees > constant 20mph wind

However,
The Spider Dome > The Whitehorse

I can't imagine why he wouldnt want to leave after reading that.

Texas, OU and OSU are the best jobs in the Big 12 at the moment. Kansas State could obviously be mentioned, but after Snyder leaves they will likely fall back to the middle of the conference and their facilities are garbage.

The Big 12 elite is a 2 member club now that Nebraska left. I'm not sure OSU knows the password to get in the door.

OSU did win the Big12 championship last year if I remember correctly.

Also, Nebraska didnt win a Big 12 championship since 1999 and werent that relevant in the Big 12 over the past decade.

Living in the past makes no sense on this one. We got a ton of money and built great facilities, have a great coach and are now very relevant. Did we suck before that happened? Absolutely. But as in life, things change.

Same thing happened to Oregon with Phil Knight. Would you argue they are not a top tier Pac-12 job just because historically they were not that?

If you are living in the present, then OSU, Texas and OU are the premier jobs in the Big 12.

Your sources are amazing. It's incredible that this hasnt been mentioned on any OSU premium board or any where in Stillwater, but some how your sources are able to procure this information.

That is because I am the ever amazing Hawgalude. You actually think Long is going to mess around with Sexton? He has been burnt too many times by that fella. Gundy interviews then the job is his if he wants it. We beat Kansas State in the Cotton bowl last year, have better facilities than OSU. I am not saying he will be the next guy but we will make a run at him and if he wants it then it is his. He will have to say NO to more money and better facilities. Depends on how happy he is with that whole situation.

PS Long did not take Gundy seriously until he himself actually expressed interest.

read it yourself big guy....

There have been rumors in recent days that Oklahoma State head coach, Mike Gundy, is being considered as a replacement for interim coach, John L Smith, at Arkansas. While Gundy has refused to discuss the situation with the media, we have learned that Gundy will have discussions about the position in Fayetteville.
This is not to say that Gundy is the leading candidate, or that he is the eventual hire. It has also be reported that TCU head coach, Gary Patterson is on the program’s shortlist. But when asked about the rumors earlier in the week, Gundy did not confirm or deny inter

That's looks like a very very reliable source talking about "rumors". Cant wait for Gundy to drive over to Fayetville and discuss the job in person, please let us all know when that happens.

Do not care if it is Gundy or not just telling you what all is happening. Could care less if we hire him or not and I really think he is probably using this for leverage in his current gig. All I do know is that Long was not returning any of his phone calls and would not communicate with Sexton at all. No indirect contact. So, Mike had to pick up a line direct and talk with him. tifwiw

I am thinking we get a up and comer -- have heard we have a lot of money which we do but someone like a Tyggart Strong or Dykes will more than likely be the coach.

Daly may have tried his best to get Gruden but that is not happening. So, it is time to be realistic.

So there is now a site saying it's patterson's job, one saying gruden will be announced, and one saying Gundy is going to arky for an interview? Yeah sounds like everybody is super informed.

I can't wait to revisit this thread after you guys make a disappointing hire and hear the bullshite excuses on why you didn't get any of those big 3.

Dude. This is Arkansas. The Flagship. They won a national title 50 years ago and a conference title 30 years ago. Elite names are lined up to take the job at this top 30 national program.

You and CtotheVrzrbck seem to be pretty level headed about this deal. What's your honest no bullshite opinion about the situation and realistic candidates. Obviously nobody knows exactly what is happening besides a very select few and I doubt they are posting on this board. Obviously there are well informed guesses and you guys seem to be informed unlike dick bag up there who is stating "facts" in everyone of his posts.

I'm sitting in a suite with one of our big donors tomorrow at the game who was a pledge brother of Holder so I will be interested to hear what he has to say about the whole deal.

willow is in a bend over the fact that his coach is interested in the Arkansas job. It is cool that you have an alumni friend that you rely on for all your information. Again, I could really care less if Gundy is named the Razorbacks coach or not but I have family connected to large farm boosters from eastern Arkansas and another family member up in NWA that was a tutor under Nutt and Petrino. I heard and know that Gundy did make contact with JL and they have talked. I do not know what about but it should not be to hard to figure out that they probably were talking about the Razorbacks and its open position.

Whether you like it or not, I do not care but before you get your panties in a wad I would suggest you do not rely on calling people out or slandering them with crap you know nothing about.

believe what you want but my family owns a nice piece of land and it has been in it for over a hundred years. Believe what you want to though.

does not matter to me.
