The bama boards are saying Chizik has hired Texas OC Greg Davis. Anyone else heard this? Apparently he and Chizik are still pretty close from Chizik's days at UT. Seems like a pretty good hire if true.

A lot of Texas fans will be glad to see him go. He has had very mixed reviews from their fan base.

What are the reviews? I've never heard much about him. Texas seems to have a pretty good offense every year, though. Seems like its always their defense that lets them down

they blame the tech loss on davis, trying to 'reinvent' the offense by getting the TE more involved in that particular game...i think.
it did look like a much different offense than what they played against OU or Mizzou, so maybe it has merit.

Major is much more beloved in Austin than Greg Davis, but he sucked at Alabama. Is he ready for the big-time? Dude is only 30 years old.

they've been very good up front with miller and orakpo...kindle's been a beast at LB, but other than that, I don't think they've been that good.
then again, their secondary is very very young and should be pretty stout in a year or so in muschamp's system.

I may be wrong, but didn't his offense drop 35 on Saban's defense in the '03 cotton bowl? May be only 28, did Texas score on that fumble eturn????
