I'm willing to bet far more college coordinators at power 5 schools go not to be head coaches at college teams waaaaay more than nfl coordinators leave to take college HC jobs....

I'm not saying it doesn't happen... Bill Obrien is the only one that comes to mind recently.

Auburn will be the third program in a row that Champ crashes. Good luck with that.

You are probably right. We'll give up 70 points to Clemson next year.

Oh Lord, please let this happen!! It would be the most epic melt ever. The Barners already have Guschamp shirts and everything.

Watch it happen, and this board go insane, only for Auburn to make a way better hire than LSU. Tiger Rant implodes.

It would be hilariously sweet to say the least but Auburn would hire one of these many outstanding DC's that were interested in the LSU job.

Why do you want this to happen so bad?

so the SEC fans can harass the shite out you and your team, just like with LSU recently.

unlike Arky and Aggy fans, you Auburn guys have been pretty sstand up during our recent trials and tribulations so i, for one, do not wish bad things to happen to y'all.

of course, if you believe that i have a bridge i'd like to sell you.

Arthur Blank and Dipshitrough are just dumb enough to go after Muschump.

I'm not saying that it, but I do think Muschamp's situation is different. We know he is a good college DC. From what we've seen so far, he is a terrible HC. Going to Auburn isn't going to change anyone's opinion about him, whereas I could see a successful NFL DC stint helping him get back to a decent HC job quicker.

How would going to a job where he doesnt develop, recruit, or manage personnel work to dispel any concerns about his ability to do so?

NFL DCs do the bolded things in your post. Only thing they don't do is recruit, though you can make a case that they recruit Free Agents (see Rex Ryan showing up outside of Bart Scott's house at 12:01a on the first day of free agency when he went to the Jets).

All that to say - Muschamp is not leaving AU for Atlanta.
