With Alabama coming in 1st in recruiting almost every year, Chavis imbedded in Texas now he doesn't do much recruiting, but has a awesome reputation. Losing him to a team like Mississippi St or another west team would absolutely hurt us in recruiting! Let's hope that doesn't happen!

If you just look at most of the comments related to Coach O, you would be incorrect - most do want him at LSU and understand his value

I highly doubt that. Every person on TigerDroppings seems to regard O as the best recruiter in the history of recruiting.

When he was HC @ Ole Miss, did it hurt LSU's recruiting?

Only in the same way that MSU taking Dak did. He got a lot of guys that we passed on, we're lower priority, or who we were asking to switch positions. Mike Williams ended up being a real steal. They got an RB and a couple of defensive players out of LA who turned out to be really good.

So, while he didn't hurt his in recruiting rankings, he definitely got talented players out of the state, several of whom were capable of starting or playing meaningful minutes for us.

Look at the comments from recruits about Coach O and you'll understand that what op is telling you is true.

Ummm...yes, very much so. Remember, as soon as Huston Nutt was hired how STACKED their DL was?

But that was before Nick Saban at Alabama, and now Texas A&M in Sec recruiting against you!

We passed on a lot of those players.

And it's funny how people have forgotten the recruitment of Drake Nevis. He was once an OM commitment under O and LSU flipped him.

LSU has great powers, far beyond those of mortal men or teams.

Orgeron has already been at an SEC west rival. He has also been in the SEC East.

Each time it did not matter.

The erection some people on here have for Orgeron is highly suspect.

Lucky tiger" coach O has already coached at an Sec west rival and one year in east didn't hurt us"
Some of u know it all's need to get up to date! That was before Saban was at Bama and A&M was in the Sec two schools were missing out on recruits already, put one of the best recruiters in the country at another West school u better believe that will hurt us! Damn think people!!!

Alabama boards says saban has contacted O after it's defensive debacle against The Ohio State..with O in a kids living room with an Alabama shirt on could hurt really bad...

It was Ole Miss. If he ends up with a non-clown program, he would take some good players away from LSU.

That would NOT be good for us.
