I've read several comments where people seem to equate them.....bullshite

Saban is the best coach in NCAA history with an unreal trophy case. Until Harbaugh matches that level of success, it's all idle chatter.

Harbaugh went 12-1 at Stanford, freaking Stanford. Saban has only ever had one season better than that. Harbaugh has also shown he can win and win big in the NFL. I say Harbaugh is a better coach. Pete Carrol too

Oh.....so, by that logic PAC 12 >SEC......amirite?

Eta, I stated NCAA.....I give two shits about the NFL .

Not the point

The point is Bama started it by paying $aban more than any school had ever paid a new hire before.

Michigan is just doing the same. Trying to buy victory. If you don't fault the University of bama than you can fault Michigan either

One season better? He was 13-1 in 2003, 14-0 in 2009, 13-1 in 2012. I would say that's better than 12-1 in all three cases. Especially considering those were all conference and national title seasons. And Stanford isn't the backwater program you're painting it to be.

Harbaugh is certainly a very good coach but not sure anybody can top Saban in college.
Pete stands out because he adds in the Super Bowl Ring plus another ring or two in college.
But neither of them can show 4 championship rings in the last 10 years with another probably on the way after 2 more wins this season

He had more success at Stanford than Saban did at Michigan State. That's the comparison. Not saying Harbaugh will have Saban level success at Michigan if he takes the job, but he will bring Michigan back where they should be and possibly cause another fake heart attack for Urban.

Further if Michigan gets Harbaugh and he does win and win often

If Miles ever hangs it up I would want LSU to target the likes of Chip Kelly for say 10 mil per

See where College Football is heading,

This was all set in motion by bama

here is my thing, it seems really obvious JH has a screw loose. I get competitive, fiery and all that but Harbaugh is wrapped really tight.

Saban also had a national title under his belt along with turning Michigan State into a solid program and LSU into one of the SEC's best.

I cant fault Harbaugh for not having an extra game. Also the titles are completely irrelevant. Losing 1 game is losing 1 game. The titles completely depend on how others around you have done

Pete is a no brainer. How one could even argue against that one I have no idea

SO

Harbaugh turned Stanford into a winner and has also turned an abysmal NFL team into a Super Bowl contestant (more than i can say for $abes who failed in the NFL and then quit )

Its about UM getting their man

and bama can be faulted for these gaudy numbers and the ripple effects are negative through all of CFB because of it.. It is what it is

Lord Saban's junk.......so, the man cannot be acknowledged for his success without bullshite comments like this? You fricking child.

Whether you hate him or love him, it is what it is. Oh, you'd also hate the fact his past LSU players adore him. How's that work?

You rocket scientist keep lauding JH accomplishments that do NOT include a single fricking championship .

On Carroll, how many NCAA NCs does he have? Oh, remember he didn't coach in the meat grinder called the SEC.....

Not a backwater program, but they definitely have more restrictions on the caliber student/athlete they can bring in. Would be interesting to see how many SEC players could ever make it to Stanford's campus.

Conference and national titles are irrelevant? Then what are we using to judge coaches? Wins alone?

Harbaugh at Stanford 29-21
Saban at Michigan State 34-24
