Les Miles contract question

I guess this is actually a head coach contract question.

Is there no non-compete clause in his contract that would prevent him from leaving LSU for a team within the SEC West division? Is that not a common practice? Coaches can prevent players from transferring to another school in the conference, why can't schools prevent a
coach from doing so?

Petrino had one, Miles does not.

LSU needs a better AD.

Dale is correct. No non-compete in Miles contract to go to another SEC school. The only non-compete clause is Miles would owe LSU $1.25 Million if he were to go to Michigan. That's it.

If that's correct, Alleva is a moron. If miles goes to Arkansas ole joe should just leave with him.
