I don't think the NO Bowl will be in the Superdome next year so if we get another invite next year, it'll be the time we go somewhere else.

I would say not to a head BCS gig until he can win 10+ games in a season at UL-Lafayette AND show he can beat a BCS team (even if at bottom of SEC/Big 12, etc) with the current talent he has.

They aren't firing Mullen anytime soon especially with the way the schedule sets up for them next year.

Yeah I heard the same thing.
New FBS Playoff rule stating that if a certain stadium (Superdome) is a host site for a Semifinal or a championship game, they can't host another bowl game other than said playoff game.
