If you're a HC candidate, is Arkansas less attractive than a yr ago?

Say Petrino left on good terms, left the team in tact and recruiting was still fine(for Arkansas' standards).
I think it's viewed as a much different job. I don't expect any Razorback fans to agree, but many other jobs are much more attractive.
UT may be terrible, but they have a top notch stadium, top notch facilities, etc. They are elite-ready. Arkansas is not.

people that like beautiful scenery, low cost of living and low crime rate?

but to address the OP: I'd like to know what openings are much more attractive. Petrino didn't leave on good terms but he did leave talent and showed people that it's possible to win at Arkansas in the SEC. I know he didn't win the SEC but he did win 10 games in back to back years and Hog fans will take that all day long.
also we have enough $ to make the job attractive enough.

If they are elite ready why did they hire kiffin and then dooley?whats the difference between now and 4 years ago?

Kiffin was a high profile guy when UT hired him. He dicked UT over unfortunately. Dooley took the job under the shittiest possible circumstances.
UT is more elite ready.
I do believe Arky is an attractive job though.

Yes it is.
1. keep in mind, that we don't owe anyone on the staff, anything, after friday. nothing. we don't owe petrino a dime, we don't owe JLS a dime after his last game he coaches.
2. the freshman class is probably the best one that petrino brought in.. it's gonna be up there with the 08 class with adams/childs/wright/wilson. we start 4 true freshman and it would be 5 if dennis Johnson wasn't a senior and holmes is going to be an electric speical teams guy at worst.
3. we actually have some real young talent on defense for the first time in forever. the freshman and sophomores on defense are good enough to be an upper level SEC defense by the time they are juniors and seniors.
the only way i would say it's not more attractive is if long has some stickler about keeping Horton or Allen on the staff (coach allen is the father of the 2nd string QB and one of our 2 QB commits for this year)

Seriously guys...... Have any of you ever been to NW Arkansas much less the campus? I've lived many places all over the country and chose NWA as my home. Absolutely if you want to live in a large metroplex it may not be for you... But if you appreciate natural beauty..... Well it has that.
Not saying we have a snowballs chance in he'll for Gruden.... But we have do have enough to lay on the table to get a respectable coach in here.
Go Hogs

no, they likely haven't and if they have and still hate it they are probably one of those people who only think big cities are cool.

Probably the same people that cry when when they get bit by a mosquito.
