TCU has played some good D for a while. Would think he would get more love when DC positions open up.

I have know Bump for 25 years. He is one great guy and football coach. He and wife, Gloria, are dear friends.

He is one great football coach and is Gary Patterson's mentor. Bump would be a great addition to LSU. He is also an awesome recruiter.

I will call him tomorrow and find out the truth about this.

I spoke to him last when we hired Chavis and he was keen to the idea.

Bump is an SEC guy, played at Arky and was MVP and all american. His specialty is DL. Call great game from sideline. He and Patterson have been together for some time and now might be time for Bump to get a good paycheck.

Keeping my fingers crossed as this would be a homer hire for LSU.

The name alone warrants an exploratory phone call

Man look, you just can't have a DC with a name like DICK BUMP arse!!! Especially at LSU!!! The Rant alone would mutilate the poor guy just for 1 mediocre season!

Unless Patterson is leaving TCU, you can forget it. We can't even hire him away.

I really want your entire post to be true, but he and Patterson have been together at 5 schools now for over 30 years, 11 at TCU, it doesnt seem like hes going anywhere.

i dont care if hes 65 (saban is 63), the game vs ole miss was the nastiest defense Ive seen in a long time, i want that at LSU, and TCU does it with very average recruiting

CLASS RANKINGS:

TCU (the one who held ole miss to 129 total yards)

2014 - 50
2013 - 30
2012 - 37
2011 - 26
2010 - 46

LSU (the one who held ole miss to 313 total yards)

2014 - 2
2013 - 6
2012 - 18
2011 - 6
2010 - 6
