Awesome, we just guaranteed Malzahn will never win the SEC. Because this guy is wrong about literally everything.

He was also 14-0 with Cam Newton and 16-10 without him.

Auburn went 3-9 without him.

Chizik only won 8 games in his whole career without Gus. Pretty sure Gus won 9 games in one year.

He will not get Au to anywhere close to a national title and he will not get Au to higher than 3rd in the west. Bama, LSU and A & M will all be higher rated than Au while he's at Au. Heck Ark/Ole Miss/MSSt all will be as good if not better coached teams. Au will be lucky to sniff a 3rd in the west for the next 3 years.

It won't take much to improve upon Auburn's 2012 offense. I don't think a jump of 50 places in offense next year will tell the Auburn nation much.

Yeah something tells me Auburn fans will trade wins for an exhausted D.

outside of one year, they didn't win a lot, though

he left an exhausted defense on the field for most of the game.

There was a reason Auburn's had terrible defenses since Malzahn arrived, and the main reason was Gus's offense.

So if it's down to the offense how come other great offenses don't have a horrible defense?

Oregon, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Fresno St., Northern Illinois.

He can recruit a Chris Todd and that offense will be good to go.

Most wins by Auburn sans Cam with Malzahn...7.
Ah...

Thanks for the enlightenment coach. Here I thought football was made up of three parts. Offense, defense, & special teams. Thanks for letting me know that the offense is the only part of the equation that determines wins & losses.

You might be right!

With the money they're saving on not paying a top flight coach, they'll have extra cash for player payroll.
