If he's smart, he goes to Pitt and competes for NC's as a HC. After 3 years there, he will have his choice of HC jobs.

The HCIW title is such BS...didn't really work out for UT with Muschamp. But I can see UT throwing a butt load of money at Malzahn to get him to be OC...he is the hot name at OC, so he would be a home run hire for Mack.

He can go to Pitt, have solid talent on that team, good recriting base, and a conference that he can win every year. Oh, and not to mention winning that conference gets you an auto to a BCS bowl. Seems like a no brainer. Pitt is a sleeping giant IMO.

Rumor is that Vandy may offer in the neighborhood of $3 mil/yr to get the HC they want. Any up-and-coming head coach would take that kind of money even if Syracuse offers.

you're right, it means zero. i guess it appeases the fans when they pay a guy double his value. either party can break it at anytime and i would think it's disputable that damages can be proved.
