@AdamSchefter: Gary Kubiak is scheduled to address the media at noon ET in the Texans Team Auditorium.

They'll probably let him "resign" rather than fire him.

Everyone had it wrong. It's not Saban to Texas, it's Saban to the TEXANS.

Dang it, Parkjas had beat me to it.

I agree. He did a good job up until now. Put them on the map after expansion.

You don't lose to the Jaguars twice and keep your job. I don't care how crappy your QBs have been or how many injuries you have.

I'm in Houston now with some corp execs. He will resign today. They are looking at Del Rio.

He will be gone by the end of the year but knowing McNair I'd be surprised if he's out before the season ends unless its completely his choice. It does look that way though from that tweet

Sumlin is also interested in that job. Buddy of mines brother in law is a sports writer in Houston. Has said Sumlin has told him that the job he would love would be the Texans. he and his wife love Houston and it is known he wants to be in the NFL. Whether he gets the job or even an interview remains to be seen. But he does want the job

It is time Kubiak has done a great job in establishing the franchise, but it's time for a shake up. Lovie Smith to the Texans

I thought I remember reading somewhere that his new contract keeps him out of the NFL until 2015.

Local sports radio is suggesting it is just his usual day after press conference. Timing is obviously off due to the Thurs night game.

We shall see...
