So an up and comer is a better hire than a coach who's 68-24 and has been to 3 straight Rose Bowls?

Bielema has 7 wins against top 25 teams since 2006. His record should not be an indication of his success. He is 0-2 in BCS bowls and 2-4 in bowls overall.

Let's hope he doesn't face Ohio State in a bowl game.

Toss up. You got a guy whose been to 3 bowls vs a guy with history/recruiting ties in the SEC and has his current team in a BCS games. Could go either way for each coach imo

I think this is a done deal. He wouldn't deny leaving UL last night, so I suspect tomorrow he will be wearing that putrid orange...

We will know soon anyway, he either has to take the job or put out the fire with UL.

Yep. His complaining about Meyer's recruiting won't be anything when he's butting heads with Saban/Miles/Sumlin/Malzhan/Spurrier/Muschamp/Richt and all the rest.

Good luck to him, he will need it.

A solid hire for the Vols, if true. Has SEC cred.

Better.

I think only b/c of his HC experience at Louisville. For only his second year in the league, Muschamp showed a lot of improvement in all facets of being a HC. If I had to pick between the 2 of them, I'd probably take Strong about 55% of the time, but it'd be a tough decision.

If (when) UT finally announces it, congrats on a good hire. Be patient & give the man time to work his magic so you can actually become relevant again and make things more exciting every October.
