Do you believe that Saban is leaving the University of Alabama?

Just wanted to see if I could get a show of hands on this particular matter.

The other threads all end up with "I'm just loving all these mad bammers" and "I'm just rustling jimmies".

I am of the opinion that he stays at the University of Alabama. I am not basing that upon any inside knowledge, nor am I using flightaware or any other similar type of program to track any persons movement.

I also feel comfortable saying that I could be wrong. The rationale behind my comfort is that I, again, do not have access to any inside knowledge.

Please refrain from a simple usage of "He gone" and give me an idea for why you feel he will stay/he will go. Thanks, and have a great day.

Honestly I'm 50/50.. its not looking good ATM. No matter what anyone would have you believe, his history suggests him going to Texas wouldn't be out of the norm. Thats the only FACTS we have to go on.

Very unlikely, and if he is i think he'll retire before leaving for another school. I could maybe see one last crack at the NFL but there is no chatter about that at all so far this year.

He gone. I think it's because he would like to be only head coach to win titles at 3 major programs.....ego.

He will stay at Alabama, and Sexton is doing what he does best. However, Bama will be paying him much more than what was being reported on that extension. Big pay raise coming from Bama IMO.

I think he'll stay because he's too old to start over. He's 62. The expectations there will be no higher than at Alabama given his track record and the pieces are already in place at Alabama. He'll listen to them and respectfully decline in my opinion.

Your reasoning was that he's left a job before. He's also turned down jobs at Alabama, not sure you're in a spot to ask for reasoning.

Possibly. Us speculating on the matter makes absolutely no difference. It's fun to think of him breaking y'alls hearts like he did to every LSU fan, but if he doesn't leave, it'll still be a fun 2014. Having to play the best coach's team every year excites LSU fans. I'd have mixed feelings if he leaves for Texas.

Just to touch on this a bit. He wouldn't be starting over at all. Texas offers everything Bama does plus is sitting in a recruiting diamond mine.

Sure I am, I gave my reasoning, which is based off of factual history. You gave your opinion based off of factual history as well.

I would not think it likely but for the reports that an extension was done followed by no official announcement. Now every day that passes makes me think there is a greater likely-hood he leaves.
