Can State afford to keep Mullen away from a higher profile job such as Colorado?

They had that one guy die they keep talking about that left money for this very reason.
But if they use it on Mullen that means if he doesn't pan out, they won't have money to get rid of him in the future.
Catch22 situation, but that is the problem with hiring up and comers.

Hudspeth would be in Starkville within a day.

Maybe, or maybe Ms. State might think Mullen has built the program to a point they could do better.

I understand your angst... just talked to a former co-worker/good friend (who's a sports director in Lafayette) who said if Mullen goes... Hudspeth will be in Starksville before the cowbell rings

I think Hud would be a great hire.

#KGNU in Boulder is reporting #MissState HC Dan Mullen
ok, cursory search on KGNU reveals some sort of independent community radio station out of Boulder (88.5 FM / 1390 AM for you listeners).
any other outlet beside a hippie station reporting this?

Hearing about it on Twitter. It has to be a joke right?
As for the football programs, winning in either place without cheating will be difficult. The challenge at Colorado is no greater than the challenge at Ms. State.

Colorado is a step down from Mississippi State. Unless CU is offering a significant pay raise or something

Colorado's beat writer is tweeting it now.
Bryan Fischer ?@BryanDFischer
RT @KyleRingo: There's speculation tonight that Dan Mullen might be interested in the Colorado job. I know CU has interest in him
