Is there any truth to these UT reports that Miles came back early from Atlanta to offer 900,000 to O? All these UT fans say the guy this comes from is legit, but it make no sense and reeks of desperation. I can't imagine it's true. If anyone can confirm, it's you.

I am calling BS. Probably UT fans wanting to make it seem like Shrek really wanted to coach the Vols over Tigers and money was not really a factor.

O was never negotiating in good faith with LSU. He was using us to leverage UT for more money plain and simple.

$600 K was WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy too much for this DL coach. He is a good recuriter and very average DL coach. His value should be about $300k.

If.....

LSU offered $600k and

Tennessee offered $650k then,

The drive behind the decision was NOT money.

$50k difference, 30% to agent(?) and 30% of the remainder to Uncle Sam leaves Big O with about $30k difference. Perhaps he fels he will be DC there quicker than at LSU. Judging from the pictures of Monte, I can see why.

Really!

Excellent. DM, his neighbor AZ and myself are supposed to attend. DM has some long lost relatives (on Claude's side) that they visited this year. We are supposed to stay (maybe)with them. We need to coordinate and hook-up.
