I guess it could be worse but with some of the names that were being thrown around the thought was kind of exciting. I still think Miles is a good coach but not top 10.

In saying that I am an LSU fan forever so I am 100% in his corner.

Geaux Tigers!!!

Miles is a hell of a coach. Sorry were not getting him. I guess his heart being at Michigan was clouded by the all mighty dollar.

If Mich wanted him bad enough they'd have ponied up the money. Looks like the dollar blinded a few people.

Remember this - big names get thrown around. What are the actual chances they'd have come? I couldn't be happier.

Think of it this way -- if Coach X was leaving LSU, and you had a chance to grab a coach from a top-5 BCS school that had just logged three straight 10-win seaons, was 2-0 in bowls (one BCS) and was in the mix for the NC this year (and still is), wouldn't you be pumped?

I am.

All this means is Michigan was honoring LSU wishes and not contacting Miles until after the SECCG. Michigan had no problems throwing the money around for their pick for coach. Good for Miles that he wants to stay in BR. He has a good thing going here. If he would have said he was not leaving a while ago this mess would never of happened.

Yeah, I'm pretty happy.

I'll be a lot happier if Miles can get into Alabama and steal some of Saban's guys.

You guys should be happy Miles is staying. I am not sure why he wanted to transfer, alma mater aside. He is in charge of a football powerhouse, one that is there year after year. When I started hearing about his plans to go to Michigan I started thinking...the hell with Bo...let's go for Miles!

Anyway, your team is fighting hard at this momemt with Tennessee. You have a lot of fans in Huskerland for selfish reasons of course but despite some of the bad reputations some husker fans have earned most of us are genuine sportsmen (or women) and appeciate good football and good football fans. I have always admired LSU (even somehow laid my hands on an LSU tee-shirt back in college in the 70's. I think it had to do with a Louisiana girl at my school). I used to always try to sit next to LSU fans at the college world series, who were there so much they should have been paying state income taxes, because they were so much fun.

Good luck to the Tigers in the BCS.

I'm happy.

To be honest I would have been really leery of one the older guys that were being put out there.

Spurrier was a great coach but he's close to retirement.

Saban has just been looking burnt out big time. He may get rejuvinated but it would have been an iffy thing.

Del Rio and Cowher I just don't know enough about.

Actually, it sounded "clouded" by an former arrogant Ohio State a-hole announcer!
