3 names I wonder if they would ever consider or be considered

All of these are successful defensive coaches but not successful head coaches
1) Dave Wanstadt
2) Dave Campo
3) Wade Phillips
DW probably pretty good on the recruiting trail as well, not so sure about the other two. But they all have been DC and have had success on the defensive side of the ball. Can certainly prepare a kid for the NFL.

I respect the answer and those names just came to mind but why do you not think they would be right or any good as DC?

It seems like more times than not NFL head coaches get fired for lack of ability to score more than it is for the defense they throw out there. It just seems with all of the NFL jobs that have come open there would be some top defensive guys looking for a high profile job. DC at LSU is high profile.

i'm telling you guys they should go after Matt Eberflus, LB coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Dude is a stud coach and will be a DC and probably a Head Coach within 5 years.
