Been rained out at work the last two days and just finished up All the Pretty Horses for probably the tenth time. I believe it's his masterpiece. Although Suttree gives it a damn good run.

Blood Meridian for sure.

Loved The Road and Child of God.

I couldn't get through All the Pretty Horses. I kept getting bored with it.

I really think his first three are somewhat overlooked and underrated (The Orchard Keeper, Child of God, and Suttree). Those 3 and No Country are probably my favorites, partly because they are not difficult reads. Blood Meridian may be his masterpiece but it is tough work to read it and I don't find it to be as enjoyable as some of his other books. No Country is almost too easy but it is exceptionally well written.

Glod others have mentioned Child of God. that book is so so great, and it's really what got me into McCarthy, even moreso than the famed Border trilogy.
