Has anyone tried the 30 day Audible trial through Amazon?

Do you find it to be worth the monthly fee?

If you don't like it prior to the 30 day trial can you cancel without being charged?

I did it long enough to get the asoiaf audio books. Try the trial. You get a free book. Download book, then cancel the trial.

You have zero to lose.

l like it. Makes my commute to work nicer. When things in my life get too busy to sit down and read I can always listen.

I've been a member for a decade or so. I love it. I travel a good bit and often have long commutes so it works well for me.

My only gripe is when I'm listening to a great series and suddenly they're missing one of the books. Then I have to actually read.... The horror!

I joined almost 2 years ago to get the Master and Commander series; I'd listened to a lot of it on library disks and wanted the whole thing.

To me it's well worth it because I drive a LOT. And Audible runs some excellent sales at times. I've bought close to 100 books, generally for $2.95 - $4.95. I never buy one of their books for full price.

The library has multiple apps to let you download books onto your phone, similar to Audible. Best part is, it's free.

Not sure why anyone is using Audible, honestly. Is there a wait for books on the library app, sure. But I put holds on books and listen to other ones in the meantime. I basically have 4 books checked out at any given time and have 10 on hold. So something is always available, for the most part.

Unless money isn't an issue, try the library app.

If you read on a kindle you can always buy the kindle version and then add on the audible version for either a credit or a few dollars more(I've routinely added on the audible version for usually an extra $5).

If you like to read and listen....the two version sync up with each other. I'll listen to a book on audible on my commute and then can read the same book on my kindle app.

You can do this all on the kindle app. If you want to read..read. When you want to listen to the book..you tap at the bottom to start up the audio version.
