Same here. I think the guy who they recasted as Daario would've been a good Crow's Eye . But I'm confident in the showrunners, and their makeup/costume team is excellent.

I think Mads could safely play almost any badass type role in GOT just fine. Should be a good casting if so, but I'm surprised he has time to do the show really.

Damphair casting is 100% spot on, and the other guy looks 'feminine' enough to be Satin. Just hope those ASOIAF forum fangirls don't ramble on about Jon going gay for Satin in future books/seasons. . I'd rather a Dany-Jon pairing (which I don't care for that idea) over that fangirl nonsense.

Sheehan will make the third casting they've grabbed from the British show Misfits, the producers must be fans of the show. Sheehan is more of a comedic actor, wonder if they are planning on increasing Satin's role in the show and making him a comedy sidekick.

Yeah, I'm actually kind of surprise they cast Satin for the show. And some book fans were worried that the showrunners were going to condense Euron, Victarion, and Damphair into 1-2 characters, but I had a feeling that they'd cast each Greyjoy character and not condense them.

In all honestly, I'm a little surprised that they're going to do the Kingsmoot stuff this season, but I'm thinking they're going to try speeding up Dany's storyline and send Victarion on his way to her fairly early on this season.

So this is my guess for the mish-mash of Season 4 coming from 3 different books:

ASOS stuff:
-King's Landing story (Tyrion, Oberyn, Cersei, the wedding, the trial, Tywin on the toilet, etc.)
-Jon/Stannis/Wildlings/Wall arc
-Probably introduce Stoneheart towards the end of the season as a cliffhanger
-Sansa/Littlefinger/Eyrie story

AFFC stuff:
-Brienne and Pod's "adventures"...I'm thinking the authors are going to condense Brienne's arc because, to put it lightly, it was boring until the last 2 chapters
-Jaime may leave King's Landing in episode 10 (I'm guessing he'll let Tyrion escape in episode 8 or 9, and since episode 10 is always a setup episode each season, he'll possibly start his way to Riverrun in episode 10)
-Iron Islands story with the Kingsmoot and Euron telling Victarion to go seek Dany
-Possibly Sansa's story?? I say possibly because Bronze Yohn Royce has been cast and I think they'll probably cast Lyn Corbray?? Although I think it's more likely that they'll expand upon Sansa's story a lot in season 5, and add more to it than AFFC did.
-Possibly Arya's story: I say this because episode 10 from season 3 left us with Arya looking at her Braavosi coin from Jaqen, and they played the Jaqen theme. No way Arya is going to be with the Hound all season 4. I think she should start her journey to Braavos halfway through season 4.

**And as for Dorne, I see the showrunners reserving Dorne for season 5, since we need Oberyn to die first before showing Doran and Arianne's machinations**.

ADWD story:
-Continue with the Theon/Reek story
-Bran's ASOS story was completed in S3, so expect him to meet Bloodraven this season and eat some Jojen paste
-Dany's story only had 1 POV chapter left from ASOS; I think she'll banish Jorah early on in the season and start the Mereen story in season 5; after all, Hizdaar was cast, as well as Victarion.

**I don't see the showrunners doing the Davos story or any of Jon's ADWD story or any of the other characters in season 4. Jon's story still has A LOT left of ASOS, and I expect the cliffhanger to be Jon being elected Lord Commander. I also don't see them doing Cersei's AFFC story till season 5 since we need Tywin to die first to see the aftermath, her demise, the crazy new High Septon etc. I think Sam going to Oldtown will be reserved for season 5 as well.

With that being said, The showrunners are 100% going to be finished AFFC and ADWD by the end of season 5. With the casting of the Greyjoys for season 4, it seems like they have a strict gameplan in mind of how they want to accomplish things. And I'm almost certain that Season 6 (which will come out in 2016) will be the TWoW season, whether or not Ser Too Fat to Write has the book out by then, or not.

I really doubt this. I think the finale will be Tywin's funeral, to where he'll be there for sure. Releasing Tyrion I'm thinking will be Episode 9.

Doubt it heavily. I'm just thinking they'll be there for Littlefinger/Lysa's wedding. I'd say she's the one character whose arc I don't see going into AFFC.

The sole reason I don't think we'll see it is that Braavos will have the be a very complex and intricate set. I think they'd save that for next season and make that the big new location simply due to a budget standpoint.

I think they'll rearrange it somewhat. I'd expect Jorah to go out towards the end of the season still, and maybe make the cliff hanger her marrying Hizdaar. Have her banish Jorah as she finds out what he's done, then Daario leave in rage and taking the Second Sons with him.

I also don't see them doing Cersei's AFFC story till season 5 since we need Tywin to die first to see the aftermath, her demise, the crazy new High Septon etc.

I'd say they'll start it somewhat, with finding her father's corpse, Tywin's funeral, and then end with the Burning of the Tower of the Hand. Then start off the next season with her asking Kevan to be Hand and sending Jaime off to the Riverlands.

I didn't think about that, and they'd also have to show the Titan of Braavos. And then Sam's story kind of intertwines with Cat of the Canals chapter, so they'd need to be there at the same time.

Do you think they'll film the Braavos set in Croatia? Or possibly a new country outside of Iceland/Ireland/Croatia?

I'm really excited to see what they're going to do with Braavos. Outside of briefly seeing Pentos, Dothraki sea, Red Waste, Qaarth, and Slaver's Bay, we haven't seen much of Essos. Essos is boring to me compared to Westeros; but I'd love to see Asshai (but Martin claims we won't see Asshai in the books, ugh). I'm really hoping that in TWoW that we get to see the Valyrian ruins up close and personal. Tyrion briefly talks about seeing them from a far distance in ADWD. Maybe Dany will go there upon her return to Westeros? Or perhaps Euron, who claims he's been there, will actually go there? Or see him go there in a flashback?

Are we sure about these? I can't find anything anywhere about it and the Mikkelsen casting is hard to believe.

I'm not sure but I'll let you know if I can find more info. The LF Facebook page is pretty accurate when it comes to casting news.

Anyone know if ADwD is out in paperback yet? I'm almost positive it was to be released in September.

I always pictured braavos as the middle eastern take on a Northern European port city.

COVER REVEAL! George R.R. Martin and Gardner Dozois have put together a towering anthology of specially-commissioned stories from the most stellar names in the genre, set in a number of readers' favourite fantasy worlds. LINK

George R.R. Martin's novella, entitled 'The Princess and the Queen', will reveal the origins of the Targaryen Civil War, otherwise known as 'The Dance of the Dragons', a war that split a then-fledgling Westeros in two, pitting Targaryen against Targaryen and dragon against dragon.

The Dangerous Women anthology also contains contributions from the following worldwide bestselling authors:

• “Some Desperado” by Joe Abercrombie – A Red Country story
• “Nora’s Song” by Cecelia Holland
• “Bombshells” by Jim Butcher – A Harry Dresden story
• “Wrestling Jesus” by Joe R. Lansdale
• “Neighbours” by Megan Lindholm (who also writes as Robin Hobb)
• “Shadows For Silence in the Forests of Hell” by Brandon Sanderson
• “A Queen in Exile” by Sharon Kay Penman
• “The Girl in the Mirror” by Lev Grossman – A Magicians story
• “Virgins” by Diana Gabaldon – An Outlander story

Screw Martin... I'm boycotting everything Martin until he completes Winds of Winter.

When I cancelled my 3 free months of HBO in July I told Direct TV I'll consider HBO again when Martin finishes his next GoT book(not the real reason and I don't think the customer service rep had any idea what I was talking about but I wanted it on record)

I'm hoping to get the same deal when the series starts up again.

Fast forward through this interview to the last minute of it; at the end of the interview, Aidan Gillen says he knows Littlefinger's fate.

That's actually a very strong lineup for a collection of short stories. The collections that D&E have appeared in were mostly surrounded by such crap that it was actually offensive.

I'm really curious to know Littlefinger's fate, moreso that many of the other characters. I definitely think he's going to die in TWoW though.

I think he'll make it to ADoS, mostly because I think that the race for the ruler of Westeros will come down to Tyrion, Varys, and Littlefinger, more so than Dany, Aegon, and Sansa. They're the true masterminds of each of their kings and queens.
