I pictured Brown Ben as having the burned in perma-tan like an oilfield hand rather than actually being black. No big deal though.

The Littlefinger Facebook page posted some new on-set pictures in Croatia. One is a lion's head...could it be for the building of the Sweet Cersei?

Looks more like some piece for the PW, but kind of cheesy looking if so.

I can't tell if that set is for the PW or the Oberyn Mountain duel...makes me feel like I'm having a Hodor moment.

Also, I saw a picture of Mountain 3.0 with the GoT hair and I approve. He looks wayyyyy better than Mountain 2.0 and very similar to Mountain 1.0. I approve this casting choice.

It's got to be for Tywin's funeral. Here is the description of his body lying in the Great Sept:

quote:

The silent sisters had armored Lord Tywin as if to fight some final battle. He wore his finest plate, heavy steel enameled a deep, dark crimson, with gold inlay on his gauntlets, greaves, and breastplate. His rondels were golden sunbursts; a golden lioness crouched upon each shoulder; a maned lion crested the greathelm beside his head.....

Also read online that HBO confirmed that Season 4 with start on March 30th and that David and Dan said they think GoT will need 8 seasons total (so 5 more seasons) to tell the story :nana:. I agree with the 8 season approach because TWoW and ADoS are going to need 3 seasons.

Here is my breakdown:

Seasons 1-3 were AGoT, ACoK, and 2/3rd's of ASoS with a dash of ADWD Theon

Season 4--Remaining 1/3 of ASoS, start AFFC, continue the Theon ADWD story and get into ADWD with Bran, Dany, Davos

Season 5--Finish up AFFC and ADWD

Season 6--TWoW

Season 7--Remainder of TWoW, start ADoS

Season 8--finish ADoS and thus conclude ASOIAF

Whether or not Lord Chubbles doesn't finish it on time, I think David and Dan will go with that timeline for the show. They can't take breaks and the actors can't wait 2 years in between seasons either. They have every right to go ahead if Ser Too Fat to Write is too busy going to nerd conventions and stuffing his gut around the globe to sit down and finish his series.

Ser Too Fat should certainly stop writing episodes though. It's what pisses me off the most really. Only episode he should really have written was "Blackwater".

I wasn't a fan of the episode he wrote for season 3 at all.

Which episodes did he write for seasons 1 and 2?

Think I'm gonna start my reread tomorrow. I finished the series in July but can already feel like I'm forgetting things.

Season 1 Episode 8...don't remember much but I'm currently on a re-watch mission .

Season 2 Episode 9...Blackwater was excellent.

Season 3 Episode 7...Crap episode and the Bear Pit scene should've been like the book and included Jaime's dream.

So George is writing episode 2 of season 4? Purple Wedding episode?

They need to set up some more things before episode 2 of the Purple Wedding. I think we some scenes with Oberyn, Tyrion, and Tywin, plus a few scenes with Dontos

You have no idea how badly the anticipating is wearing on me . I've been visiting the ASOIAF forums a lotttt and posting on there. Just have to wait for the first preview to come out in early February and episode 1 premieres March 30th.
