I could picture him going mad.

Martin said that multiple people are going to sit on the Iron Throne before it's all said and done by the end of ADoS.

So if (maybe fake or Blackfyre) Aegon sits the throne in TWOW, that would mean that Tommen and Myrcella will both be dead by the middle of the next book, right?

Yeah, to fulfill the whole Valonquar prophecy they have to. Three children you shall have, gold will be their crowns, gold will be their shrouds.

I think UnGregor kills Tommen by accident. Myrcella who knows, anyone in Dorne could kill her.

I'm not going to lie, his last line in ADWD was badass.

"I want the attack to go ahead… With one change. I mean to lead it."

With how passive Dany is that got me pumped up.

I think they lose control of him during the trial and he just goes hay wire. Kind of like Frankenstein, which he essentially is.

Like he goes crazy and hacks little Tommen in half? Sort of sucks because Tommen probably wouldn't have sucked as king, but you gotta go, you gotta go.

I'd say its highly probable Aegon not only lasts WoW, but is sitting on the Iron Throne by the end of it. If he doesn't make it to the final one, then his introduction is 100% pointless.

Question for you guys.

Is there any way this all ends up with Jon or Danny as the "winner"?

I hate the idea of a character introduced mid story be the eventual "winner".

I'm a novice in all of this so mind my ignorance.

Yes, most things point to it. There are so many references, but probably the biggest "prophecy" chapter is Dany's visit and visions in the House of the Undying:

a man who looked like Viserys, but taller and with darker eyes, who says to a woman nursing a baby, "Aegon…What better name for a king…He is the prince that was promised, and his is the song of ice and fire"; and when the man’s eyes meet Dany’s, he says either to her or the woman with the baby, "There must be one more…The dragon has three heads", and he picks up a silver harp and begins to play;

This is one of my main reasons for thinking that the baby is Jon and the woman is Lyanna, not Elia. There are some holes but:

- "his is the song of ice and fire" makes absolutely no sense if he was referring to his son Aegon by Elia.

- "Aegon, what better name for a king?" One of the main arguments against the child in the vision being Jon is that Rhaegar aready had a son named Aegon. I've made the point that because it was such an important Targ name, and this was in his eyes the "prince that was promised" and the son that should be king, that he named him Aegon as well.

- "There must be one more, the dragon has three heads" The assumption by many is that he is talking to the woman and that the woman is Elia. I believe that he is speaking directly to Dany and showing her future husband and the father of her child.

a dying prince with rubies flying from his armor whispering the name of a woman with his last breath

I find it interesting that in these two visions (and other places), they say "a woman" and not the woman's name. You could explain that away since Dany didn't know who the woman was in the vision, so they had to say "a woman", but in the same sequence Rhaegar whispers "a woman's" name, and THAT Dany would have heard without need for interpretation.

a cloth dragon amidst a cheering crowd

- a fake dragon. This is Young Griff the "Aegon" that returns to Westeros with Jon Con and TGC and who has been hidden and helped by Ilyrio and Varys. I think that he is a Blackfyre. I DO believe that he will win the crown, but it will be brief. Jon and Dany will rule in the end.

a blue flower growing from a chink in a wall of ice

- Yet another reference in the same sequence to Jon and to him being Lyanna's son

And, here's one from the series. Even though I hated how they completely screwed up the House of the Undying, they have to have some idea from Martin on how this ends, so one would think that their version of the HotU has to have some significance to the story, right? So, what does Dany see?

- Snow on the Iron Throne
- Her husband and child at the Wall
- She quotes the curse from Miri Maz Duur which basically says when she will again be able to conceive a child. At the end of ADWD, Martin leads us to believe that she is having her period, which would mean...

Good catch. My favorite part of this scene is:
House of the Undying
"My people are across the sea, waiting for me...."
"Well they'll be waiting a long time...."
He's right about that much, its only gonna take her atleast 3 more season

I think Margeary poisons him and the Tyrell host opens the gates to King's Landing for Aegon's forces.

So does that mean Margaery is going to marry Aegon? Will she actually get pregnant this time?

She'll marry him, but I don't think enough time will pass for her to become definitively pregnant. Alot of people think he'll marry Arianne, but I think Quentyn's death almost assures that the Martells will join Aegon.

Aegon/Tyrells/Martells would be an interesting alliance

Especially since Mace Tyrell hates the Martells. I guess the hatred of Lannisters will bring them all together?

Exactly. I think they'll put their historical hatred aside (as they've done before) to get batshit crazy Cersei off of the Iron Throne.

Sounds like a good plan to me. About time Cersei goes bye-bye from the Red Keep. I could see her dying in TWoW.

Who has a better chance of surviving through aDoS: Tyrion or Jaime?

Good question.

I'm inclined to say Tyrion because he's GRRM's favorite and a fan favorite....but personally, I'd rather Jaime live because it would be more surprising and I like Jaime's character and his journey better.
